Okay it's been yet another pregnant pause in the punctuated, penning of these posts. How's that for alliteration motherfuckers!...god I'm educated.

A young chap going by the name Gato asked myself and others if they'd like to do some art work. The idea being he'd post the canvas over from Canada, I'd fill it with stuff and return it via

airmail.

Seemed a whizz, so I had a pop.

Personally I'd have chosen a different style, but Gato specifically asked for the little monster dudes.

Gato was jolly decent, and sent a few other freebees over too.

I'll post the finished results soon...oh the drama.

Bit like Hollyoaks without the beautiful people.

A New Hope

I'm a dick....

One of the real plus points of having no-one read this blog, is that no-one can argue with me.

The stickers displayed on the post below are going in the bin...and I'm a dick.

I must have seen the Buff Monster about four years ago and allowed it to get in my head because the stickers I thought I'd created are just the bastard offspring of said monster.

No-ones going to believe me, but truly I did not intend to rip off the monster. I sketched it once and then designed all my creations around that sketch....blah blah blah.

Truly I'm not into copying anyone...why would I?

I really upset some people...and I'm sorry.

Anyway, I'm going low key for a while...my confidence is in tatters.

I've seen the future and it's vinyl...no not cheap kitchen floor coverings, though it was tempting initially...stickers.

These fellows have been knocking area for well over a year in various formats. But I've managed to get my arse in gear and make the jolly little blighters tangible.

They all have names too...how adorable.

At some point I'm going to embrace my submissive, capitalist, pig side and flog them too....Maggie would be proud.

This loathsome beasty was created many moons ago as a sticker, and at some point they will make an appearance.
Their's loads of them all with names, a bit like carebears but with more vitriol.

Inspiration

How does one come about creating an idea?

Where does inspiration come from?

Does adding three exclamation marks at the end of a sentence lower your IQ!!!?

I often getting the visual equivalent of writers block (...drawers blank?...) and if the talent of others can't drag my sorry ass through the quagmire then I find abject misery an adequate substitute.

Little tip here...this one's free....if you feel like shit, and choices you make lead to further misery, suffering and bloody knees, get that black book out!

Whether in his blackbook or on a grander scale Setik is a force to be reckoned with.
His letter forms flow like cheap cider down the rec on a Saturday night, but the after effects are much more palatable.
He's also extremely efficient, his pieces appearing on a reasuringly regular basis.
Although this piece is monochrome, or black and white if you're thick, his colour pieces 'rock'...raise the two finger horned, devil, dio, salute.

I notice he has a blog too, so I'd be wise and check that out too....cos if you don't you might catch the mange.
